Scott Tinker stars in “Switch,” a documentary that examines the future of energy production.

“Switch,” an award-winning documentary on future energy needs and supplies, will be shown Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 10 and 11, in the University of Wyoming College of Business auditorium at 7 p.m.

The documentary follows Scott Tinker, the director of the Bureau of Economic Geology, as he travels across the globe to energy sites producing everything from coal to solar energy. Tinker interviews several barons of the energy industry and captures videos of restricted energy production areas.

“A number of student groups have previewed the film and believe it is important that as many people as possible see this documentary,” says Randi Martinsen, lecturer in the Department of Geology and Geophysics. “It offers an important message for energy in our time.”

The Department of Geology and Geophysics, School of Energy Resources and the College of Business M.B.A. program are among campus groups that sponsor the documentary.
