October 9, 2012 — Lights Along the Shore, a Laramie-based trio, will perform Sunday, Oct. 14, in the University of Wyoming Fine Arts concert hall at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
The trio is composed of UW Music Professor Blake McGee on clarinet, Lisa Rickard on piano and Professor Rod Garnett on the Moldovan nai and 19th century flutes.
Lights Along the Shore uses an imaginative approach that blends the sound of Moldovan panflute, clarinets and piano. Their performance will feature European classical music, Moldovan folklore music, Irish folk melodies and original works by members of the group and Laramie composer David Brinkman.
The UW music department sponsors this event. For more information, call (307) 766-2512.
