SAE Haunted House to Benefit Laramie Youth

October 23, 2012

Being spooked this Halloween can be good for local children.

The University of Wyoming’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity will host the Master of Misery Haunted House from 7 p.m. -2 a.m. Oct. 25-27, and again from 6 p.m-1 a.m. Oct. 31 at the SAE house, 1621 Fraternity Row.

Haunted House tickets cost $5 per person with all proceeds going to the Laramie Cathedral Home for Children. Sigma Alpha Epsilon hopes to raise $5,000 from the event.

The first hour of each night will be geared toward children and families. After, it will be geared toward older participants. Trick-or-treaters and families are welcome from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.

“This year, the tour guides are going to be even better, and I hope the community enjoys the scares and characters we portray,” says SAE President Teige Corcoran of Fairfax, Va.

“Giving back to the community shows our peers and the community, as a whole, the value of Greek life,” says Joseph McCorry of Casper, SAE philanthropy chair. “We take great pride in our fundraising and philanthropic efforts, and hope the community will attend to support a great cause. We cannot do this alone.”

The Laramie Cathedral Home for Children has been helping youths for more than 100 years.
