University of Wyoming Calendar for Oct. 29

These are among the activities scheduled Oct. 29-Nov. 4 at the University of Wyoming:

Tuesday, Oct. 30, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Regis, Uniwyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for UW students.

Wednesday, Oct. 31, 4 p.m. -- Safe Treat allows youths to trick-or-treat safely on Halloween, Wyoming Union. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 31, 8 p.m. -- Paranormal Xplorations visits with guest lecturers and investigates Knight Hall for paranormal activity, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 1, 2:30 p.m. -- Author Winona LaDuke discusses her book, “"The Militarization of Indian Country: From Geronimo to Bin Laden," Classroom Building Room 129. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m. -- Vocal jazz and jazz combos concert, Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Friday, Nov. 2, 6 p.m. -- The MFA Student Reading Series begins, Night Heron Books, 107 E. Ivinson St. Free.

Friday, Nov. 2, 6 p.m. -- A reception is scheduled for the “Found, but not Captured” art exhibition, Wyoming Union Gallery 234. Free.

Friday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Colorado Sate, Uniwyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for UW students.

Friday, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m. -- The Wyoming Jazz Ensemble performs, Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Friday, Nov. 2, 8 p.m. -- Pink Prom, an alternate experience for the GLBTQ students, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Saturday, Nov. 3, 7:30 a.m.-noon -- College of Health Sciences’ annual Health Fair, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Most services are free including blood pressure checks, lipid screening, osteoporosis scans and more.

Saturday, Nov. 3, 2:30 p.m. -- Cowboy football vs. Colorado State, War Memorial Stadium. Ticket prices vary.
