These are among the activities scheduled Oct. 8-14 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Oct. 8, 5-6:30 p.m. -- Emek Uçarer will lecture on “Challenges and Opportunities Facing the European Union and the Eurozone,” Wyoming Union Room 203. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 9, 4-5:30 p.m. -- Professor and best-selling author Morris Rossabi discusses “The History and Modern Reinvention of Genghis Khan,” College of Business auditorium. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 10, 4 p.m. -- UW Religious Studies Professor Paul Flesher will lecture on "The World's First Scripture Translation: The Targums and the Septuagint,” as part of the Manifold Greatness exhibition, Coe Library. Free.

Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 10-11, 7 p.m. -- “Switch,” an award winning documentary on future energy needs and supplies, will be shown in the College of Business auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 11, 7 p.m. -- Homecoming Sing, Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 11, 8 p.m. -- Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band perform for the homecoming dance, Wyoming Union ballroom. Free.

Friday, Oct. 12, 8-10 a.m. -- Breakfast on the Lawn, Prexy’s Pasture. Free.

Friday, Oct. 12, 11 a.m. -- ASUW pig roast, Simpson Plaza. Free.

Friday, Oct. 12, 11 a.m. -- Historian Phil Roberts will lecture on, “Bringing Land-Grant Universities to the Territories: John Hoyt, UW, and the Expanded Morrill Act,” UW American Heritage Center Stock Growers Room. Free.

Friday, Oct. 12, 1 p.m. -- American Heritage Center Archivist Laura Uglean Jackson will present a discussion titled “125 Years in the Making: A History of UW as Told in the Archives,” Centennial Complex, Wyoming Stock Growers Room.

Friday, Oct. 12, 3 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. Nevada, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for UW students.

Friday, Oct. 12, 3:30 p.m. -- 2012 Keith and Thyra Honors Convocation, Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Friday, Oct. 12, 7:30 p.m. -- United States Army Field Band concert, Fine Arts concert hall. Free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Box Office or call (307) 766-6666 for ticket information.

Friday, Oct. 12, 9-11 p.m. -- Homecoming Bingo offers prizes to UW students, Wyoming Union lower level. Free.

Saturday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. -- UW Homecoming parade starts at Ninth and Ivinson streets.

Saturday, Oct. 13, 5 p.m. -- Cowboy football vs. Air Force, War Memorial Stadium. Ticket prices vary.

Sunday, Oct. 14, 1 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. Boise State, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for UW students.

Sunday, Oct. 14, 3 p.m. -- The trio, Lights Along the Shore, performs Moldovan classical music, Fine Arts concert hall. Free.

Sunday, Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Chamber Orchestra performs, directed by Jim Pryzgocki, Fine Arts concert hall. Free.
