The University of Wyoming’s Cap and Gown chapter was one of only 31 chapters to take home the Golden Torch Award, which was presented to the most exceptional Mortar Board chapters nationwide.

The UW chapter also was honored with its regional group for the project, “Garden of the Gods,” conducted with Colorado College, the University of Colorado, Colorado State University, the University of Northern Colorado, the University of Denver and the University of Utah. This is the ninth consecutive year the section has participated in this project to clean up the Garden of the Gods public park in Colorado Springs, Colo.
