Works created by students studying abroad in Turkey can be seen in the University of Wyoming Union Gallery 234 Dec. 3-14.

A reception for the exhibition “Summer in Turkey 2012” will be in the gallery from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4.

In previous years, students in a UW art class have traveled to Turkey to explore its culture, history and art. UW students Beth Cochran, Cheyenne; Amanda Larsen, Evanston; Britni  Schwartz, Riverton; Kelsy Werries, Gillette; and Holly Wood, Laramie, created the exhibition during last summer’s Turkey experience.

“The artists use the fall semester to create a body of work in response to their travels in Turkey,” says Professor Doug Russell.

Gallery 234, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union, sponsors this event. Individuals needing assistance to attend should call the Campus Activities Center at (307) 766-6340. For more information, visit www.uwyo.edu/cac.
