January 7, 2013 — A public memorial service for Robert Torry, professor in the University of Wyoming Department of English, is set for Thursday, Jan. 24, at 5:30 p.m. in the UW Visual Arts Building.
“With his keen sense of humor, generous intellect, and enormous kindness to students and colleagues alike, Bob showed us our best selves,” says Caroline McCraken-Flesher, UW English department head. “We send condolences to Bob's wife, Kerry, to his family, and to all his students. We truly shall not see his like again, but for years to come, we shall see him reflected in every student he taught.”
