UW to Present an Evening of Piano Duets Monday

The University of Wyoming Department of Music Faculty Recital Series will feature guest pianists Monday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts concert hall.
“An Evening of Piano Duets” with Ilya Sinaisky (Colorado State University) and Natasha Kislenko (University of California-Santa Barbara), will feature music by Schubert, Ravel, Poulenc, Beethoven and Stravinsky. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Santa Barbara News Press praises the Kislenko-Sinaisky piano duo as a “seamless ensemble.” Formed in 2010, the duo has appeared in numerous venues around the country, including the University of Maryland, Tulane University, University of California-Santa Barbara and the embassy of the Russian Federation in Washington, D.C.
Kislenko has performed extensively in Russia and the former Soviet Union, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Turkey and the United States.
Sinaisky joined the Colorado State University faculty last fall as an assistant professor of collaborative piano. Before his appointment, Sinaisky was an active performer and a teacher in the Washington, D.C., area.
The next performance in the spring Faculty Recital Series is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, with “Cornerstones, Part Deux.”
