UW Energy Resources Council and Advanced Conversion Technologies Task Force to Meet

March 6, 2013

Members of the University of Wyoming Energy Resources Council (ERC) and Advanced Conversion Technologies Task Force (ACTTF) will meet Friday, March 22, at the UW Conference Center at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The ERC meets at 8 a.m. to hear updates on the recently completed legislative session, the strategic areas of concentration for the School of Energy Resources and details on the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Energy Innovation Center.

The board also will welcome new members and elect officers.

Following the ERC meeting, the council will convene as the ACTTF to discuss the status of ongoing projects.

The ERC, made up of representatives from industry, state government and academia, was established by the 2006 Wyoming State Legislature. It provides advice and direction to the School of Energy Resources on priorities for research and outreach.

The UW School of Energy Resources provides undergraduate and graduate education, conducts research on existing and emerging energy resources, and disseminates scientific, engineering and economic information to support Wyoming’s near- and long-term energy future.

Persons with disabilities requiring special accommodations to attend the meeting should contact Mary Byrnes at the School of Energy Resources at (307) 766-6851.

Information about the School of Energy Resources and the meeting agenda is available at www.uwyo.edu/ser.
