University of Wyoming trustees approved the following personnel items during their business meeting Friday, March 8:
Faculty Appointments
College Engineering and Applied Science
Jeffrey Clune as assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science. He received a B.A. (1999) in philosophy from the University of Michigan, an M.A. (2005) in philosophy and a Ph.D. (2010) in computer engineering from Michigan State University. Clune has had a postdoctoral fellowship from Cornell University since 2010.
College of Health Sciences
Donna Bliss as associate professor and director in the Division of Social Work. She received a B.A. (1989) in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.S.W. (1991) and a Ph.D. (2005) in social work, both from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Bliss has been the M.S.W. Program director at the University of Georgia since 2012.
Changes in Appointment
College of Education
John Kambutu named as head of the Department of Educational Studies; Elizabeth Simpson ends her appointment as director of the Wyoming Center for Excellence and Innovation in Distance Learning and Technology. She will return to her appointment as associate professor in the Department of Educational Studies.
