Students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and the public should find it easier to be informed about what’s happening at the University of Wyoming by accessing the newly renamed WyoCal calendar.
Formerly known as Tzolk’in, the interactive, user-friendly online calendar provides an organized listing of university events. Users are able to view and submit event information; send events to their personal calendars; receive email and text message reminders and notifications of event changes; and browse by event category.
“WyoCal plays a significant role in providing a one-stop view of UW events -- concerts, speakers, theatre performances, athletic competitions and other activities,” says Sara Axelson, UW vice president for student affairs. “After doing research and consulting focus groups, our students renamed the calendar so it would be more intuitive for everyone to know about and participate in the many outstanding events that are held on campus.”
