May 2, 2013 — Works by 12 students in the University of Wyoming Bachelor of Fine Arts program can be seen through Wednesday, May 15, at the Visual Arts Gallery on the corner of 22nd Street and Willett Drive in Laramie. A reception for the exhibition is scheduled Friday, May 10, from 6-8 p.m.
The Visual Arts Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The work ranges from printmaking, painting, drawing, and sculpture to ceramics, graphic design and photography.
“The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program is offered to outstanding students who are preparing for art studies, careers and professional activity beyond the undergraduate level,” says Margaret Haydon, associate professor in the UW Department of Art. “It is considered the honors program of study in the Department of Art.”
Works by the following students will be exhibited: Kira Cheshier, Victoria Denecke, April Dockter, Jesse Fales, Brandon Fischer, Kaleigh Lang, Seth Marasok, Stephen Mullins, Calli Nissen, Brandon Russell, Gary Schmidt and Tracey Wilcox.
