May 30, 2013 — The University of Wyoming Sheridan Research and Extension Center (ShREC) Field Day will include crop variety trial tours and information sessions that cover everything from weed control to backyard composting to growing grapes for wine.
The event, for crop producers and homeowners, is hosted at Sheridan College Saturday, June 15.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., with field trial tours scheduled 9:30-11 a.m. at ShREC’s Wyarno site, which is located seven miles east of the Sheridan Information Center on Fifth Street, says Valtcho Jeliazkov, ShREC director.
The venue then switches to the Sheridan College Science Building, where information will be provided about the new UW Outreach Research & Extension Center. Field trial and vineyard tours will take place from 11 a.m.-noon near Sheridan College. After lunch, presentations for producers and homeowners are scheduled from 1-5:30 p.m.
