August 26, 2013 — An exciting new dining experience, “Rendezvous,” will come to the University of Wyoming in early September. Located in the completely renovated space of the former Ross Hall Dining Room, Rendezvous will offer a variety of breakfast and lunch options, along with a full-service coffee bar.
“The dining facility in Ross Hall was long overdue for renovation, and this all-new dining experience is something that the entire campus community is really going to like,” says UW Dining Services Director Eric Webb.
Rendezvous will feature a variety of culinary options served from several dining stations. “Calienté Grill” will serve burritos, street tacos and other Mexican fare. “Nellie’s Deli” will feature made-to-order sub sandwiches. “Sizzling Salads” will offer made-to-order salads topped with grilled meats. “7220 Coffee Co” will be a full-service coffee bar.
“The offerings at Rendezvous are specifically designed in response to campus dining customer feedback we’ve received in recent years,” Webb says. “Customers have consistently asked for Mexican and sub sandwich options, and our existing Ross Hall customers have always enjoyed the salad options there.”
Renovations to the space began in March and include completely redesigned kitchen and dining areas, new furniture and lighting, dividers for a private dining area, and new seating to include booths, tables and high-top counters along windows.
“The renovation has increased the seating capacity while also improving the atmosphere,” Webb says. “The view of Prexy’s Pasture through the big windows has always been a great feature of the space, and the renovation really takes advantage of that.”
A specific opening date has not been set, but Rendezvous should be open sometime in September, Webb says. Once open, Rendezvous will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
