Consumer Issues Conference Offers Free Registration to UW Employees

September 3, 2013 — University of Wyoming employees and all students will be able to attend the annual Consumer Issues Conference free of charge.

“Faculty members should encourage student attendance since the content will be interdisciplinary and cover topics in health, economics, marketing, consumer economics, family issues and law,” says Virginia Vincenti, professor in the UW Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The conference, scheduled Oct. 2-4, features groundbreaking author and Time magazine writer Steven Brill and other experts who will examine sweeping social, legal and economic consequences of the Affordable Care Act. The conference also examines the state of innovation and legal issues in the new health care market generally. Read more.
