World Comes to Wyoming Fund Request for Proposals

September 9, 2013

The World Comes to Wyoming Fund is now accepting applications for grants of up to $2,400 per year. Deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15.

Applications are welcome from anyone who has a pre-existing project in Wyoming that would benefit from interaction with a visiting expert(s) from another country.

The fund aims to create a mini-global crossroads by using the University of Wyoming's international expertise to invigorate established projects throughout the state. Rather than supporting new projects, the fund augments existing projects, says Anne Alexander, UW International Programs director.

“These ongoing projects may be economic, educational or political, but they must involve the University of Wyoming, and extend beyond the Laramie campus,” Alexander says. “We encourage, especially projects that pair Wyoming entities, including companies, nonprofits and government agencies, with UW experts.”
