Japanese Inspired Art Featured in UW Gallery 234

October 14, 2013

海域間, which means “Between Waters” in Japanese, will show through Friday, Oct. 25, in Gallery 234, Room 004, in the lower level of the University of Wyoming Union.

The exhibition is a response by UW students after their trip to Japan. The exhibition explores contemporary cross-culturalism and multiculturalism.

“[We want] our own society to be able to experience the convolutions and nuances of Japanese art and culture through the various art forms that we will present,” the art students wrote. They say they want the Wyoming community to understand the unique artistic contributions that Japan has made for the rest of the world.
