Tonya Anderle is UW Employee of the Third Quarter
October 7, 2013 — Willing to take on whatever challenges are presented to her, Department of Computer Science Office Associate Tonya Rae Anderle is the University of Wyoming’s Outstanding Staff Employee of the Third Quarter.
The award recognizes UW staff members for their efforts toward excellence in the workplace.
“I have never heard her say that she was too busy to help someone and never heard the statement, 'This cannot be done.' Regardless of the request, it is attended to in a competent and good-natured manner,” a nominator wrote.
Another added, “Tonya helps to improve the environment of the department by making sure all information, equipment and methods are up to date. She is very welcoming to students, faculty, and visitors that come to the department. I think with the commitment, high quality and improvement to our departmental community, she is an example for other departments to follow suit.”
“I really like the faculty, staff and students I work with. They all support me in my efforts to have an enjoyable office and attitude that makes others feel comfortable,” says Anderle, who started her current position in 2009. Before that, she worked in Conferences and Continuing Education from 2007-09 and was with the Office of Teacher Education during 2006-07.
“Three of the most reliable and supportive people I have worked with are Christi Hutchison, Jerry Hamann and Theresa Lucero,” she says.
Employee of the Quarter nominees can be any UW staff employee and must receive three nomination forms from three separate individuals. Nominations must be submitted to the Staff Senate office. The forms are on the web at www.uwyo.edu/staffsenate/employee-of-the-quarter.
