UW Alumni Association Scholarship Applications Available

November 27, 2013

Applications for the 2014 University of Wyoming Alumni Association (UWAA) scholarships are available to in-state and out-of-state high school students, community college transfer students, current UW juniors or seniors, veterans, and graduate students.

Recipients must attend UW on the Laramie campus, be enrolled full time and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA (3.0 for graduate students) over the course of their enrollment.

Applications and supporting materials must be received by the UW Alumni Association on or before 5 p.m. March 7, 2014.

In-state and out-of-state applicants must be spring high school graduates in the top one-third of their graduating class with a minimum ACT composite score of 20 and/or a minimum SAT score of 1,100. Students must be involved in extracurricular activities, provide two letters of recommendation and a brief statement indicating why they wish to attend UW. Out-of-state scholarship recipients must be children of UW alumni.

Additional scholarships for high school students, grandchildren of alumni, UW junior or seniors, and various license plate-funded scholarships also are available. Two new scholarships were added this year to assist veterans and multicultural students.

Note that all scholarships for high school seniors are available in addition to the Hathaway Scholarship. Students receiving a Trustees’ Pride Scholarship do not qualify for UWAA scholarships.
