Political Civility Topic of Retirees Monthly Meeting

February 10, 2014

All University of Wyoming retirees and near-retirees are invited to attend the February meeting of the UW/State Retirees of Albany County Monday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. at the Eppson Center for Seniors, 1560 N. Third St.

Andrew Garner, assistant professor in the UW Department of Political Science, will be the speaker. Time will be provided for questions and discussion.

Garner’s teaching interests include American and comparative political behavior -- voting and elections, participation, public opinion and political parties. His research focuses on how and to what extent the political environment affects the formation of the public's political attitudes.

The retirees meet at the Eppson Center the third Monday of each month during the academic year.

“These monthly programs provide a forum for good conversation, plus a healthy exchange of information, questions, answers and perhaps rebuttals,” says Lynn Durkee, president.

For more information, contact Durkee at (307) 756-5556 or email ldurkee@uwyo.edu.
