UW-Casper Open House Will Answer Questions for Potential Students
The University of Wyoming at Casper (UW-Casper) will host an open house Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4-7 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Casper College Student Union/University of Wyoming at Casper Building.
The informational event will offer individuals the opportunity to meet UW-Casper administrators, faculty, and advisers; obtain information from UW-Laramie admissions and financial aid representatives; learn about Transfer Advance; tour the new facility and view the state-of-the-art technology; visit a class in progress; and enter to win a door prize.
“At the UW-Casper open house, you’ll have the chance to learn about financial aid and scholarships that are only available to UW students in Casper, and find out just what is involved in getting your degree,” says Brent Pickett, associate dean and director of UW-Casper. “It’s a great opportunity to have all of your questions about college answered in one place. Even if you aren’t sure about going to college -- or going back to college -- you owe it to yourself to learn about the opportunity to get a UW degree without leaving Casper.”
A division of the University of Wyoming Outreach School, UW-Casper offers 17 bachelor’s degrees, 12 master’s degrees, a doctoral degree, endorsements and certificates. Operating in Casper since 1976, it has more than 3,200 alumni, many of whom still reside and work in Natrona County.
Rosalind Grenfell, manager of student advising, adds, “Admission representatives and academic advisers will be available to discuss the degrees offered. Come enjoy some refreshments and learn more about the University of Wyoming at Casper.”
