The University of Wyoming Art Museum will offer two creative opportunities for students as part of the nationwide celebration of Youth Arts Month during March.
Free Saturday classes for students ages 4-11 will take place March 8, 15 and 29 from 1-3 p.m. Students will investigate new ideas and creative processes, in addition to exploring and making art. Parents of students 5 years old and younger are asked to remain with their students. Be sure to wear art-making clothes. There is no fee for this class, but pre-registration is appreciated.
Spring break art camp for children ages 6-10 will take place March 17-21 from 1-4:45 p.m. Students will explore the artwork exhibited in the museum and then use what they learn to draw inspiration from everyday moments to make extraordinary art.
Spring break art camp costs $60 for the week or $15 a day per student. For more information or to register for either set of classes, contact Heather Bender, master teacher, at (307) 766-3515 or hbender1@uwyo.edu.
