Retirees to Hear UW Extension Educator

Services and programs offered by the local UW Extension Office will be presented during the April meeting of the University of Wyoming/State Retirees of Albany County Monday, April 21, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Eppson Center for Seniors, 1560 N. Third St.

Kellie Chichester, UW Extension educator since 2006, will be the speaker. Her responsibilities include livestock, horticulture and small-acreage education. She also helps with the youth Quality Assurance program in two counties, and is a past president of the Wyoming Association of County Agricultural Agents.

She received a master’s degree in animal science and veterinary sciences from UW and a bachelor’s degree in animal science in 2003 from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Okla.

All UW retirees and near-retirees are invited to attend. The retirees meet at the Eppson Center the third Monday of each month during the academic year.

“These monthly programs provide a forum for good conversation, plus a healthy exchange of information, questions, answers and, perhaps, rebuttals,” says Lynn Durkee, president.
