These are among activities scheduled June 16-22 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, June 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Search for bees and butterflies during the Laramie Pollinator Party at LaBonte Park, co-sponsored by the UW Biodiversity Institute. Free.

Monday, June 16, 4 p.m. -- Classics Institute lecture, “The Truth about Tyranny: Tacitus and the Historian’s Responsibility in Imperial Rome,” Kurt Raaflaub, emeritus professor of classics and history, Brown University, Room 186 of the College of Law Building. Free.

Tuesday, June 17, 4 p.m. -- Classics Institute lecture, “Troubled Waters: Navigating Class and Gender in Petronius’ Satyrica,” Lorenzo Garcia, associate professor of classics, University of New Mexico, Room 186 of the College of Law Building. Free.

Wednesday, June 18, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Country singer Ashley Buchart and her band will perform for the UW Summer Programs concert series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

Wednesday, June 18, 4 p.m. -- Classics Institute showing of the 1951 film, “Quo Vadis,” Gryphon Theater in the Laramie Plains Civic Center, 710 E. Garfield St. Free.

Thursday, June 19, 4 p.m. -- Classics Institute lecture, "Frozen in Time? Activity at Pompeii during and after the Eruption," Debora Sneed, UCLA Cotsen Institute of Archaeology, Room 186 of the College of Law Building. Free.

Thursday, June 19-Saturday, June 21, 6:30 p.m. -- The Snowy Range Summer Theatre presents the Off-Broadway musical “Swingtime Canteen,” Washington Park band shell. Thursday’s show is free; others cost $10 for the public and $7 for students, senior citizens and children over 5. The show also will be presented June 26-28.

Friday, June 20, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. -- UW Art Museum’s annual summer solstice celebration, Rotunda Gallery. Free.

A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive, which is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
