UW School of Pharmacy Dean to Advise International Journal

July 28, 2014

University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy Dean Linda Gore Martin has been named to serve a three-year term on the International Advisory Board of the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy.

The journal serves as the official journal of the European Society for Clinical Pharmacy and the Royal Dutch Association for the Advancement of Pharmacy. In 2013, the journal received 612 submissions from 70 countries; at this time, 15 percent have been accepted for publication.

Martin will be responsible for reviewing manuscripts; suggesting reviewers; contributing to journal content in the form of research papers/commentaries or reviews; and will help develop the journal’s content and future direction.

She has served as a reviewer for the journal since 2011 under the current name and, from 2006-2010, under its former title of Pharmacy World and Science. Martin reviewed reports from nearly all continents.

Named as School of Pharmacy dean in 2012, Martin has published articles and book chapters in geriatrics and outcomes; served on the Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Program editorial board; and has reviewed books on pharmacoeconomics, outcomes, women’s health, management and geriatrics.

Among her honors are the UW College of Health Sciences awards for lifetime achievement (2011), outstanding research (2006) and meritorious service (2004); Wyoming Pharmacy Association Pfizer Bowl of Hygeia Community Service Award (2010); and the Alpha Nu Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma Faculty Leadership Award (2010).
