August 8, 2014 — These are among activities scheduled Aug. 11-17 at the University of Wyoming:
Saturday, Aug. 16, 1-5 p.m. -- Thousands of handmade sketchbooks from around the world can be seen at the family-friendly Sketchbook Project Mobile Library at Laramie’s First Street Plaza. Free.
A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive, which is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.
Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays. Free.
