Season Tickets Available for UW Cultural Programs Performances

September 17, 2014

Season tickets are now available for 2014-15 University of Wyoming Cultural Programs performances. Full season ticket orders must be received by Sept. 29.

Each year, Cultural Programs brings a variety of internationally known performers to campus, often at ticket prices much less than at larger venues. This season features five performances during fall semester and five spring semester performances. All shows are at 7:30 p.m. in either the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall or the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

The five fall performances will be: Barry Douglas, piano; Danish String Quartet; Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, (in collaboration with the UW Department of Theatre and Dance); Basix a cappella; and Turtle Island Quartet, jazz.

The five spring performances are: PDQ Bach, music satirist; Edgar Meyer and Mike Marshall, Americana; Tierney Sutton, jazz vocals; Lonnie Smith, jazz; and Ana Vidovic, guitar.

“Season ticket holders get to hear some of the most distinguished performers on the music scene and attend receptions to meet the artists,” says Janelle Fletcher, UW Cultural Programs manager.

Full season tickets cost $193 for the public; $163 for senior citizens; and $80 for UW students and students in grades K-12. Pick-any-five season tickets cost $106 for the public; $90 for seniors; and $87 for UW and K-12 students. Individual performance costs vary.

The Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts box office, located in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center, is open for reservations weekdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets also are available at the Wyoming Union information desk.
