Pros and cons of Common Core in Wyoming will be the focus of a discussion Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union East Ballroom.
Wyoming Public Radio’s education reporter, Aaron Schrank, will moderate the discussion that will be re-broadcast on WPR at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, and at noon Sunday, Sept. 14. Wyoming Public Television plans to televise the discussion Monday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m.
Panelists are UW Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership Mark Stock, Wyoming Education Association President Kathy Vetter and Cheyenne South High School math teacher Jayne Wingate.
Wyoming Public Radio’s education reporting is part of “American Graduate-Let’s make it happen!,” a public media initiative to address the dropout crisis, supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
