Weekly public programs at the refurbished UW Planetarium resume Friday, Dec. 5.

These are among the activities scheduled Dec. 1-7 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Dec. 1, noon -- “Stewardship and Fundraising” panel of College of Arts and Sciences department heads, Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Tuesday, Dec. 2, 6:30 p.m. -- Tribute to teachers to celebrate the College of Education’s 100th anniversary, Education auditorium.

Tuesday, Dec. 2, 7 p.m. -- Cowboy basketball vs. Denver, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Wednesday, Dec. 3, 8 p.m. -- Teton Gravity Research Film “Jeremy Jones’ Higher,” Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Thursday, Dec. 4, 5:30 p.m. -- Ceramic Art Guild’s annual benefit silent auction, Visual Arts Building lobby, viewing begins at 1 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 4, 6 p.m. -- Lighting of the trees ceremony and reception at the UW Art Museum. Free.

Thursday, Dec. 4, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Pan Band percussion concert, Buchanan Center for Performing Arts concert hall. Free.

Friday, Dec. 5, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. -- Holiday Market, Wyoming Union second level.

Friday, Dec. 5, 2:10 p.m. -- Research Across the Disciplines seminar series, Taylor Crow presents “Alternate Approaches to Delineating Seed Transfer Zones,” College of Agriculture Building Room 1030.

Friday, Dec. 5, 6 p.m. -- Reception for art students Ryan Parker and Sam Molder, Visual Arts Building THIS and THAT galleries. Free.

Friday, Dec. 5, 7 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Exoplanets and the Kepler Mission,” followed at 8 p.m. by “So, You Wanna Build a Solar System,” enter through southwest doors of the Physical Sciences Building. Each show cost $2 for students and $3 for adults.

Saturday, Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m.–3 p.m. -- Happy Holidays Laramie at the UW Art Museum includes student art exhibits, decorated trees, musical performances and a visit from Santa Claus. Free.

Saturday, Dec. 6, 11 a.m. -- Outdoor Gear Swap in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

Saturday, Dec. 6, 7:30 p.m. -- Holiday Gala featuring Singing Statesmen, Bel Canto and Laramie Civic Chorus, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $10 adults, $7 senior citizens and $6 students.

Sunday, Dec. 7, 2 p.m. -- Cowboy basketball vs. Regis, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Sunday, Dec. 7, 3 p.m. -- Holiday Gala featuring Singing Statesmen, Bel Canto and Laramie Civic Chorus, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $10 adults, $7 senior citizens and $6 students.
