Monday, Feb. 23, 3:10 p.m. -- UW Department of Geology and Geophysics Distinguished Lecture Series presents W. Wyatt Oswald, “Post-Glacial Climate, Vegetation, and Fire Across Southern New England,” S.H. Knight Geology Building, Room 216. Free.

Monday, Feb. 23, 7 p.m. -- Gallery Walk-Through for the 40th annual Juried UW Student Exhibition, UW Art Museum. Free.

Tuesday, Feb. 24, 3:10 p.m. -- School of Energy Resources Speaker Series, Anne Gaffney, “Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Ethane to Ethylene,” Energy Innovation Center, Room 201. View more information about the event here. Free.

Wednesday, Feb. 25, noon -- Multicultural Affairs Speaker Series, Erin Forbes, “Haunting in African American Literature,” Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Wednesday, Feb. 25, 8 p.m. -- TNERTLE performance, Wyoming Union Gardens. Free.

Thursday, Feb. 26, 3:10 p.m. -- School of Energy Resources Speaker Series, Wyoming Reclamation and Restoration Center Director Pete Stahl, Energy Innovation Center, Room 201. Free.

Thursday, Feb. 26, 6 p.m. -- Haub School Environmental Leadership Speaker Series, José González, “Connecting Cultural and Community with the Outdoors,” Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Feb. 26, 7:30 p.m. -- The Dorothy Jacoby Student Soloist Competition, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Cost is $6 for students, $7 for seniors and $10 for adults.

Friday, Feb. 27, noon -- “Women in Sports: Developing Leaders and Difference Makers,” panel discussion, Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Friday, Feb. 27, noon -- School of Energy Resources Speaker Series presents Dario Grana, “Geostatistics-Based Decision Making for Reservoir Engineering,” Energy Innovation Center, Room 201. Free.

Friday, Feb. 27, 5 p.m. -- “Invasive Paper IV,” exhibition and panel discussion, Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center auditorium. Free.

Friday, Feb. 27, 6-8 p.m. – Opening reception for “Matter and Spirit,” an exhibition of hand-lettering and typography by Rebecca Mettler, THAT Gallery, UW Visual Arts Building. Free.

Friday, Feb. 27, 6:30 p.m. -- Friday Night Fever presents “The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies,” Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Friday, Feb. 27, 9 p.m. -- Friday Night Fever presents “Googala, featuring the Kenya Safari Acrobats,” Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Saturday, Feb. 28 -- Ice-climbing trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. Cost is $45 for students and $54 for faculty/staff. View more information about the event here.
