These are among the activities scheduled Feb. 9-15 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Feb. 9 -- Opening of “Crossing the Delaware Line,” an exhibition by visiting artist Chris Dacre, Visual Arts Building.

Monday, Feb. 9, 3:10 p.m. -- Geology and Geophysics Distinguished Lecturer Series presents Kevin Schaefer discussing “The Effects of the Permafrost Carbon Feedback on Global Climate,” S.H. Knight Geology Building, Room 216.

Wednesday, Feb. 11, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirls basketball vs. San Diego State, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 5 p.m. -- Avalanche rescue beacon clinic, Wyoming Union, Room 202. Cost is $5 for students and $7 for faculty/staff. Limited to 10 participants. View event details here.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 5 p.m. -- Darwin Trivia Night, UW Geological Museum. Build a team of two to six people and test your knowledge of evolutionary biology and Darwin. Prizes will be awarded. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Open to UW students and faculty.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 6 p.m. -- Saturday U, an evening of college classes and discussion, Gillette College. Free and open to the public.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 8 p.m. -- Cowboy Country Swing Club, Union Ballroom. Free.

Friday, Feb. 13, 5:30 p.m. -- Darwin Day, Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center. Celebrate Darwin’s birthday with a reception, short presentation and movie. Free and open to the public.

Friday, Feb. 13, 6 p.m. -- Opening reception for spring exhibitions and awards ceremony for the 40th Annual Juried UW Student Exhibition, UW Art Museum. Free and open to the public.

Friday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m. -- Cowboys wrestling vs. Oregon State, UniWyo Sports Complex. Ticket prices vary.

Friday, Feb. 13, 8:30 p.m. -- Friday Night Fever and Wyoming Swing Club host a Valentine’s Day dance, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Saturday, Feb. 14, 8 a.m. -- Ski bus to Snowy Range Ski Area. Cost is $18 per rider. Each rider receives a $10 voucher to use toward lift tickets or rentals. Reserve a seat on the bus through the Outdoor Program. View event details here
