Tickets go on sale Monday, March 9, at the University of Wyoming for Country Music Association New Artist of the Year award winner Brett Eldredge.

He will perform Tuesday, April 14, at 8 p.m. in the UW College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The show is open only to UW students, faculty, staff and their guests. Tickets are available with a valid WyoOne ID for $20. Tickets can be purchased at the Wyoming Union information desk, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts box office or online at

Eldredge grew up in a family in which musical talent was far and wide. Rather than learning from his parents, the Illinois native listened to the “big voices” of Ray Charles, Ronnie Dunn and Frank Sinatra. He soon began performing backyard concerts, which grew into local performances around his hometown of Paris, Ill. There, he found his love for the crowd and performing. Eldredge says being on stage is “the place I feel more alive than anywhere.”

Eldredge has opened for some of the biggest names in country music, including Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift. His hits include “Don’t Ya” and “Mean to Me” from his debut album “Bring You Back,” and the American Country Countdown Awards Song of the Year, “Beat of the Music.”

He also produces his own webisodes, “The Couch Series,” performing covers and new songs.
