UW College of Education Dean Finalists Selected

Finalists for the position of dean of the University of Wyoming’s College of Education have been identified, and they’re scheduled to visit UW beginning Sunday, March 8.

The candidates are Ray Reutzel, professor of early literacy and director of the Emma Eccles Jones Early Childhood Education Center at Utah State University; Richard Lomax, professor and associate dean for research and administration at Ohio State University’s College of Education and Human Ecology; Matt Keefer, professor and former chair of the Division of Educational Psychology, Research and Evaluation at the University of Missouri-St. Louis; Verl Pope, professor of counseling and chair of the Department of Counseling, Social Work and Leadership at Northern Kentucky University; and Paul Gore, associate professor of educational psychology and director of the Office of Institutional Analysis at the University of Utah.

Reutzel is scheduled to visit UW March 8-11; Lomax, March 11-14; Keefer, March 22-25; Pope, March 29-April 1; and Gore, April 1-4.

Public forums are planned for each candidate; times and locations of those events will be announced later.
