The University of Wyoming’s Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI) will welcome candidates for the position of director to the UW campus Wednesday and Thursday, April 8-9.
The candidates are Mark H. Holtz, former enhanced oil recovery reservoir engineer with Baker Hughes; and Swapan Das, reservoir engineering lead with Marathon Oil Co. Holtz has a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin; Das holds a Ph.D. in chemical and petroleum engineering from the University of Calgary.
Holtz will conduct a presentation titled “Generating Wyoming’s Future Hydrocarbon Reserve Growth” at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Encana Auditorium on the third floor of UW’s Energy Innovation Center. The presentation will be live-streamed online for those who are unable to attend the presentation. Das will conduct a presentation titled “Thriving in the Low Price Environment -- Technology, Synergy and Collaboration” at 4 p.m. Thursday in the BP Collaboration Center on the second floor of the Energy Innovation Center. The search committee welcomes input on each of the candidates. Evaluation forms can be obtained by emailing Pepper McClenahan, EORI business manager, at pmcclena@uwyo.edu. Forms also will be available at the presentations. Deadline for return of the completed evaluation forms is April 10.
