Monday, June 8, and Friday, June 12, 7 p.m.; Saturday, June 13, 11 a.m. -- Award-winning performers and recording artists, the Boston Brass, will perform in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Saturday’s gala concert will include student performers. Free.
Tuesday, June 9-Saturday, June 13, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Snowy Range Summer Theatre presents “On Golden Pond,” Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts main stage. Tickets cost $10 for the public and $7 for students, senior citizens and children over age 5. Wednesday, June 10, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Indie rock band Wynona will perform for the UW Summer Programs concert series on Simpson Plaza. Free.
Thursday, June 11-Saturday, June 13 -- “Our Place in the West … and Beyond: Wyoming at 125” celebrates Wyoming’s 125th anniversary of statehood by examining some of the state’s important historical and cultural legacies, Marian H. Thursday, June 11, 6 p.m. -- Opening reception for summer exhibitions and “Our Place in the West … and Beyond: Wyoming at 125” conference, UW Art Museum. Free.
Friday, June 12, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “The Space Age.” A Michael Jackson laser light show follows at 9:10 p.m. Tickets cost $2 for students and $3 for nonstudents, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.
Saturday, June 13, 3 p.m. -- Artist workshop with June Glasson, Wyoming Arts Council Visual Arts Fellowship recipient, UW Art Museum. Free, but limited to 15 participants. To register, call Rachel Clifton at (307) 766-6621 or email rmiller@uwyo.edu.
Sunday, June 14, 7 p.m. -- Summer Institute on Human Rights lecture, “Freedom and Slavery: Athens and its ‘Others,’” Barbara Logan, assistant academic professional lecturer, UW departments of History and Gender and Women’s Studies, College of Law Building, Room 186. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
