UW Trustees Set Agenda for Retreat July 14

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will hold its annual retreat Tuesday through Friday, July 14-17, at the Little America Hotel convention center in Cheyenne.

The meeting begins with a discussion with Wyoming legislators at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Little America Teton Room. The board also is scheduled to meet with Gov. Matt Mead at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The board is scheduled, Friday morning, to interview representatives of three consulting firms to assist with the search for a new UW president. They are expected to select one of the firms that afternoon.

An update on the presidential search is scheduled at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Other topics of discussion during the retreat are capital facilities projects, UW’s proposed budget for the coming biennium, institutional fundraising priorities and issues related to enrollment growth.

Public testimony is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

All meetings of the Board of Trustees are open to the public except executive sessions.
