Colorado Front Range-based Grant Farm will perform during the Welcome Week barbecue for University of Wyoming students Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 5 p.m. in Prexy’s Pasture.
Grant Farm is a band on a mission. Led by national flatpicking champion Tyler Grant (Emmitt/Nershi Band), the talented four-piece group is built on the foundation of love, family and the joy of music.
According to the group’s website, the band’s train stops at all the stations on North American roots music line, and is “not afraid to let the whistle scream with some blistering jams.”
The band has had several solid seasons of touring coast to coast behind its debut CD three years ago.
UW Student Activities Council (SAC) sponsors the concert. The council is looking for UW student volunteers. If interested, contact sac@uwyo.edu. SAC meetings are each Monday at 5 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center, located in Wyoming Union Room 012.
