UW Energy Resources Council to Meet Aug. 21

The University of Wyoming Energy Resources Council (ERC) will meet Friday, Aug. 21, at 8 a.m. in the BP Collaboration Center of the Energy Innovation Center at the University of Wyoming.

The council will hear several updates, including the progress on the High Bay Research Facility, the Carbon Management Institute, the current budget, the 2017-18 fiscal year budget and a carbon engineering road map.

The council will reconvene after lunch as the Advanced Conversion Technologies Task Force (ACTTF) to hear various project updates and information on the Aug. 20 Clean Coal Research Fund Symposium.

The ERC was established by the Wyoming State Legislature in 2006. Made up of representatives from industry, state government and academia, the council advises the UW School of Energy Resources (SER) on priorities for research and outreach. The ACCTF consists of the voting members of the Energy Resources Council; it awards funds for advanced conversion research.
