The Wyoming Governor’s Energy, Engineering, STEM Integration Task Force will meet Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 8 a.m. via teleconference.
The task force, composed of industry and state leaders, is guiding efforts to lift the University of Wyoming’s College of Engineering and Applied Science to “Tier-1” status. Co-chairing the group are UW engineering alumni Tom Botts, former executive vice president of global manufacturing for Royal Dutch Shell; and Greg Hill, president and chief operating officer of Hess Corp.
Wednesday’s agenda includes an update on planning for a new engineering facility, along with discussion on the Department of Petroleum Engineering, planning for a new research aircraft and funding for research centers of excellence.
Those wanting to attend may do so in the First Interstate Bank conference room on the second floor of UW’s Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.
