These are among the activities scheduled Sept. 21-27 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Sept. 21, 3:10 p.m. -- The Department of Geology and Geophysics Distinguished Lecturer Series presents Ye Zhang, UW associate professor. She will discuss “My Sabbatical: New Research and New Thinking” in the S.H. Knight Geology Building, Room 216. Free.

Tuesday, Sept. 22, 11 a.m.-noon -- Bike to UW Day, UW Simpson Plaza. Those who show up on bicycles will receive free bike safety checks, free bike lights (while supplies last), free bike maps, information provided by local organizations and more.

Wednesday, Sept. 23, 7:10 p.m. -- “The Lives of Others” film showing in Classroom Building, Room 133. Free.

Wednesday, Sept. 23, 8 p.m. -- Student Activities Council presents the “Best Worst Movie” film screening in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. Viewing of “Trolls 2” follows. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 24, noon -- The College of Business Peter M. and Paula Green Johnson Career Center hosts Lunch and Learn: Resumes and Cover Letters, College of Business Building, Room 123. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 24, 1:20 p.m. -- William D. Griffith Speaker Series presents “Examining the Causes and Consequences of Late Onset Offending,” Marvin Krohn, University of Florida professor, Classroom Building, Room 306. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 24, 5 p.m. -- Rainbow Leadership Series kickoff event will take place in the Wyoming Union, Room 202. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 24, 6:30 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Boise State, UniWyo Sports Complex. Ticket prices vary.

Thursday, Sept. 24, 7 p.m. -- The American Indian Studies Program presents “Winter in the Blood” film screening followed by a panel discussion in the College of Education Building auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 24, 7 p.m. -- Studio WYO presents open mic night featuring JD Korpitz. Sign up starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Gardens. Free.

Friday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m. -- Dedication of a student memorial plaza located at the east end of Prexy’s Pasture near the Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center. Free.

Friday, Sept. 25, noon -- School of Energy Resources Speaker Series presents Brian Towler, University of Queensland professor. He will discuss "Use of spontaneous imbibition experiments to measure enhanced oil recovery with surfactants and complex nano-fluids" in the Energy Innovation Center’s Encana Auditorium. Lunch provided. Free.

Friday, Sept. 25, 4 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. San Jose State, Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Ticket prices vary.

Friday, Sept. 25, 6:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. -- Friday Night Fever presents “Inside Out” in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Free to UW students with ID.

Friday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Greek Mythology.” A tour of the STAR Observatory follows at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for nonstudents, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Friday, Sept. 25, 9 p.m. -- Friday Night Fever game night in the lower level of the Wyoming Union. Free.

Saturday, Sept. 26, 1 p.m. -- Cowboy football vs. New Mexico, War Memorial Stadium. Ticket prices vary.
