UW Board of Trustees to Meet Sept. 9

September 4, 2015

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will hear a proposed revision to UW’s historic preservation plan, consider selection of a construction manager for the expansion of the Rochelle Athletics Center and receive a variety of updates during the board’s regular meeting Sept. 9-11.

Presentation of the historic preservation plan is scheduled during a working dinner from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the UW Conference Center. Earlier Wednesday, several meetings of committees of the board are scheduled.

The business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday. Public comment will be accepted at 11 a.m. Thursday.

All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions.

Thursday’s sessions begin at 7:30 a.m. in Salon E of the UW Conference Center with a preliminary enrollment update, and a presentation on the university’s actions and plans to accommodate increased on-campus enrollment. Other items on Thursday’s agenda include an update on collaborative efforts with community colleges on program-level articulation agreements; a review of the 2015-16 fiscal year operating budget; and capital facilities projects, including the Rochelle Athletics Center expansion.

At 3:30 p.m. Thursday, the board is scheduled to tour the Michael B. Enzi STEM Facility, which is nearing completion.

Friday’s sessions, which begin at 7:30 a.m., include discussion of the presidential search; tuition for the 2016-17 academic year; and updates on the education and science initiatives. Trustees are scheduled to attend the grand opening of a new classroom and studio in the UW Art Museum at 5 p.m. Friday.

The complete agenda is available on the Web at www.uwyo.edu/trustees/2015-meeting-materials/.
