VoicePlay, an a cappella group featured on season four of NBC’s “The Sing-Off,” will perform Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. The performance is part of the UW Cultural Programs fall series.

Tickets to VoicePlay cost $18.50 for the public; $15.50 for senior citizens, faculty and staff; and $10.50 for students. Tickets are available at www.uwyo.edu/finearts or by calling (307) 766-6666. Tickets also are available at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts box office and the Wyoming Union information desk.

Friday Night Fever will provide 300 free tickets to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are available with a UW student ID in the Campus Activities Center, Room 012 of the Wyoming Union. Each ID can claim two tickets.

Based in Orlando, Fla., the group members are Earl Elkins Jr., Geoff Castellucci, Layne Stein, Eliezer “Eli” Jacobson and Tony Wakim. What began quite literally as a street corner barbershop act has now evolved into an internationally acclaimed touring group.

VoicePlay recreates the orchestrated sound of an entire musical production using only human voices.

“Re-imagined as a full stage show, amazing, humorous and vertigo-inducing harmonies pepper VoicePlay’s music-without-music sound as it ping-pongs between eras and styles, and lacing it with inventive and often hilarious on-stage theatrics,” according to the group’s biographical information.

The group’s 2015-16 tour season includes performances on the Disney Cruise line and a featured performance at Walt Disney World’s “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.”

For more information about VoicePlay, visit http://thevoiceplay.com/about/, like the group on Facebook, or follow the group on Instagram and on Twitter @theVoicePlay.

The Cultural Programs fall series concludes Friday, Nov. 20, with sisters Christina and Michelle Naughton, Julliard School-trained pianists.
