Gaffigan is a Grammy-nominated comedian, New York Times best-selling author, top touring performer and a “multiplatinum-selling father of five,” according to his biography.

His fourth one-hour special, “Obsessed,” premiered on Comedy Central in 2014, and the DVD/CD was released soon after by Comedy Central Records. “Obsessed” premiered at No. 1 on iTunes, which gave Gaffigan five albums in the Top 25 Comedy category on iTunes. His first book, in 2013, “Dad is Fat,” was released by Crown Publishing and debuted at No. 5 on the New York Times bestsellers list and remained on the charts for 17 weeks. His second book, “Food: A Love Story,” was released last fall and debuted at No. 3 on the New York Times bestsellers list.

Gaffigan serves as executive producer and star of “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” which premiered in July on TV Land and Comedy Central.

Gaffigan has made several guest television appearances on such comedy shows as “Portlandia,” HBO's cult hit “Flight of the Concords” and “Bored to Death.” His dramatic roles have been on all three versions of “Law & Order.” He also starred in the movie “The Experimenter” that debuted at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
