UW Country Swing Dance Fundraiser for United Way Set Nov. 12

The University of Wyoming's Cowboy Country Swing Club is raising money for the United Way of Albany County by hosting a fundraising dance Thursday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Ballroom.

Featuring the Walker Williams Band, the event will include free dance lessons starting at 8 p.m., followed by open dancing beginning at 9 p.m. A $5 suggested donation for entry is requested.

Earlier this year, the Cowboy Country Swing Club set the Guinness world record for the largest swing dance with 1,184 participants at UW’s War Memorial Fieldhouse. The previous record was 756 participants.
