Holiday Film ‘Elf’ Screened at UW Dec. 4

December 1, 2015

Friday Night Fever and the Residence Hall Association will present a free screening of the film “Elf” Friday, Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the University of Wyoming Washakie Dining Center’s lower level.

Jon Favreau directs the holiday comedy starring Saturday Night Live alumnus Will Ferrell, who plays Buddy, a regular-sized man who was raised as an elf by Santa Claus (Edward Asner). When the news is finally broken to Buddy that he’s not a real elf, he decides to head back to his place of birth, New York City, to find his biological family. “Elf” also stars James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Zooey Deschanel and Bob Newhart.

Friday Night Fever is looking for UW student volunteers. If interested, contact fnf@uwyo.edu. Friday Night Fever meetings are Mondays at 4 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center, located in Room 012 of the Wyoming Union.
