A free night of glow-in-the-dark activities, mocktails and music will be offered for students Friday, Feb. 26, at 9 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom.
In conjunction with Friday Night Fever’s “Glow Fest,” the movie “The Danish Girl” will be shown at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room.
“The Danish Girl” stars Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne, who plays Einar Wegener -- a transgender female. The film follows a true story of a married couple from Copenhagen.
Husband and wife, Einar and Gerda -- portrayed by Alicia Vikander -- are followed through their journey, as Einar becomes one of the first transgenders to attempt sex-reassignment surgery.
Friday Night Fever is looking for UW student volunteers. If interested, contact fnf@uwyo.edu. Friday Night Fever meetings are Mondays at 4 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center, located in Room 012 of the Wyoming Union.
