Sexual Misconduct Training Offered at UW

A campuswide effort is underway to offer the training course, “Sexual Misconduct and the Duty to Report,” which is required for all University of Wyoming employees, including student employees and graduate assistants.

The course provides background information pertaining to laws and definitions of sexual misconduct, outlines every employee’s duty to report, and provides information on what happens after an incident is reported.

Effective March 15, all new employees will be required to complete the training within 90 days of their first day of employment. The UW Employment Practices office will offer both in-person and online training opportunities for current employees. Training opportunities have been provided on a unit basis throughout campus and that will continue.

There will be two open, in-person sessions on campus before spring break, and persons who haven’t received training are encouraged to attend. The training will be offered Monday, March 7, and Tuesday, March 8, at 3:30 p.m. both days in Room 302 of the Classroom Building.

For those who cannot attend, visit the Courses and Conferences home page in Employee Self Service through WyoWeb to register.

Future sessions for new employees will be offered on a regular basis.

For more information, contact Janean Forsyth Lefevre at (307) 766-5608 or jforsyth@uwyo.edu. More information is available here.
