Advancements and challenges in Wyoming’s efforts to conserve wildlife habitat, while promoting natural resource production, will be explored in a workshop in Casper next month.

The Wyoming Habitat Restoration Workshop, hosted by the Wyoming Reclamation and Restoration Center (WRRC) at the University of Wyoming, will take place April 19-20 at the Casper Events Center.

Participants will include state and federal government leaders, UW researchers, and representatives of both industry and environmental organizations.

“We aim to provide information and resources to help industry, environmental groups and regulatory agencies work together to promote natural resource production and wildlife habitat conservation in the state,” WRRC Director Pete Stahl says. “Many great things already are happening on the ground in Wyoming, but we all know this will be a continuing challenge requiring the cooperative efforts of all parties.”

One of the workshop’s top objectives is to share perspectives among the different groups involved in natural resource production and wildlife habitat conservation in Wyoming.

More information about the workshop, including opportunities to participate, is available at www.uwyo.edu/ser/conferences/upcoming-events/restoration-2016.html.
