UW Quartet to Celebrate Spring with Concert April 7

Lights Along the Shore, a University of Wyoming instrumental quartet, will perform a free public concert to celebrate springtime Thursday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall.

Quartet members, all from the UW Department of Music, are Steve Barnhart, professor, percussion; Rod Garnett, professor emeritus, flute; Blake McGee, assistant professor, clarinet; and Lisa Rickard, staff accompanist, piano.

Lights Along the Shore specializes in original compositions and arrangements of classical and folk music from around the world. The ensemble performs Irish, Moldovan, Romanian, Bulgarian and American folk melodies along with jazz and classical music.
